Hello!
Welcome to Project Health Pre-Training! We are so excited to have you. This pretraining can be done at your leisure, but needs to be done before you come to our in-person training. The schedule for training is listed below:
Executive Board
August 23 from 5 – 9 p.m. in Russell Hall, Room 354
New Members and Executive Board
August 24 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. in Russell Hall, Room 354
All Members
August 25 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in Russell Hall, Room 159
Your director will send you the first draft of schedules. Any schedule changes will be fixed at your all member training session. This will cover important information regarding health, and other things we need you to bring with you!
New Members
Please take this online suicide prevention training program first.
We want you to be adequately trained on mental health and in the area of suicide prevention. Ask Listen Refer is designed to
- identify people at risk for suicide
- recognize the risk factors, protective factors, and warning signs of suicide
- respond to and get help for people at risk
This doesn’t mean you’re qualified to counsel, but it does give you the tools you need to help someone if you think they might be considering suicide. Once you finish, upload your certificate to Blackboard. Please have this done by August 20.
Next, please look over the Project Health New Member materials training. This is due by August 16 by 9 p.m.
Finally, please take this pre-test survey. We use it to gauge your baseline levels for the topics we cover. We don’t expect you to know anything regarding any of these topics, so answer honestly so we can see where you are as a group. This is used to assess our programming, so we can figure out what is working and what isn’t. Please have this done by August 16 at 9 p.m.
Old Members
Please visit the Project Health Blackboard page and take the PH Review quiz. It’s a timed quiz with 25 questions that is due August 20 at 9 p.m. You will do a great job!
